Why and How Durga Saptashati is being cursed Īlthough, results will definitely come to pass by after reading various chapters of Durga Saptashati on various days in prescribed manner and especially in navratras ( 9 auspicious days in hindu religion which are devoted to Mother in various forms ) without recitation of above mantras but for hypnotism and for other tantra related activities, “Shapodhar and utkeelan mantras “ had to be recited, else fruits will not come to pass by. This mantras are called “Shapodhar and utkeelan mantras “ which had to be recited number for times for better fruits. To get full results of Durga Saptashati, some mantras had to be recited at start and end such that curse can end and results come in full effects. Īs Durga Saptashati mantras are very powerful, thus they are being cursed by Lord Shiva such that they are not being misused. In Durga Saptashati, there are various chapters and verses for different purposes, which can be recited on different days to get blessings of Mother Durga in various areas of our life. As 700 in Hindi means “Shaptshat “ and further this 700 verses are in relation to Mother Durga in varied forms and thus “Durga Saptashati“ is ideal term that is derived from this ancient text. Durga Saptashati is collection of 700 verses that are being found in Markendeya Purana (Religious Book of Hindu).
